For Academic Researchers in Financial Economics

I had the fortune to attend a phd class of Prof Duffie where a preliminary version of this book was used as teaching material. The book is highly insightful. It gives background information on some recent papers of Prof Duffie and coauthors. It initiate a new research branch in Financial Econometrics. I suggest it to anyone doing research in IO/ Corporate Finance / Market Microstructure / Financial Econometrics.

The old bag of asset pricing again...

As others said is a collage of Duffie's papers, very technical but not much substance. If you read Michael Lewis' "Flash Boys" you would learn way more stuff about dark pools.
