A valuable comparison, but poorly edited
By J. Kaufman
I kept the book after my class ended because it does have a fairly detailed comparison of many nations' health systems in an organization that makes it generally easy to compare. But the book is deeply flawed, beyond the numerous typos. Some chapters are so poorly edited it's baffling; in the UK chapter, for instance, there is a section subhead that does not at all reflect the contents of the section. In other chapters, I sometimes get a sense of a certain agenda being pushed.

If I had to stand behind the accuracy of a paper, I would probably want to get a confirming source for any information I took from this book. But I would love to see a carefully edited, updated, more concise version.

Roman Republican Villas: Architecture, Context, and Ideology (Papers and Monographs of the American Academy in Rome), by Jeffrey A. Becker

The Roman villa is a classic icon of Western culture, and yet villa can be used to cover a multiplicity of ideas, experiences, and places. In the late Republic and early Imperial periods, villas are inseparable from elite lifestyles, providing a prestigious setting for leisurely and intellectual pursuits. But how did these advanced buildings come about? Roman Republican Villas examines key aspects of early villa culture and architecture, with the goal of understanding the development and deployment of villas in Republican Italy. For instance, where does the "classic" villa architecture originate? How do writers like Cato the Elder or Varro use the villa to their own advantage? How visible are Republican villas in the landscape of central Italy?

Traditional theories about villa development have been largely focused on stereotypical ideals of early Roman austerity and industriousness. New work at sites such as the Auditorium, however, proves the existence of luxurious residences already by the 5th-4th c. BCE, even before the Roman conquest of Italy. Such recent developments in archaeological fieldwork have begun to reshape the discourse in such a way that old assumptions are being challenged and, in many cases, found wanting. Within this atmosphere of new discoveries and reconsideration, scholars are uniquely poised to re-examine the villa and the part it played in the culture of Roman Italy, in terms of both the material remains and the literary sources. The villa also plays a prominent role in Republican literature such as the De agri cultura of Cato and the texts of Varro, as the early Latin authors seek to fashion identities for themselves and the city of Rome. Drawing on diverse source materials, the collected essays of Roman Republican Villas help to re-center the discussion of Roman villa culture, particularly in light of new evidence offered both by fieldwork and by new approaches to Republican agricultural writers.

This volume brings together scholars of Latin literature, Roman history, and classical archaeology to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the questions connected to the emergence and development of villas and their farming culture. With contributions from leading scholars Jeffrey A. Becker, John Bodel, Stephen L. Dyson, Carin M. C. Green, Brendon Reay, Nicola Terrenato, Mario Torelli, and Rita Volpe, the viewpoints offered build upon previous scholarship and ask challenging questions about how the evidence of Roman villas has traditionally been interpreted.

Amazon.com Review
Routing in the Internet takes a carefully measured, textbook-style approach to a very complex topic, and rewards the attentive reader with a deep knowledge of how packets traverse networks. Author Christian Huitema begins by explaining the mechanics of IP addressing and returns to that theme (as it applies to IPv4 and IPv6) throughout this book.

Once he's laid his addressing groundwork, Huitema sets out to explain interior routing. He begins with the relatively simple (and relatively weak) Routing Information Protocol (RIP), using it as a vehicle for introducing routing terminology and concepts before explaining why RIP is not a good solution for most real-world internetworking problems and moving on to more robust routing algorithms. His coverage of Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) compares favorably to others'--he is careful to explain each aspect of OSPF (including link state databases) thoroughly. Exterior protocols are covered similarly well. Huitema isn't stingy with coverage of special situations, such as those created by mobile IP and IP multicasting.

Huitema's style tends to emphasize the theoretical aspects of the subjects he covers, and he writes with a somewhat academic tone. (You'll appreciate his liberal notes if you want to follow up on particular details of his presentation.) He makes good use of packet and network diagrams. You'll be pleased by the depth and detail of the material in Routing in the Internet and, despite its lack of practical material, will find it useful in real-life router configuration work and in studying for Cisco certification exams. --David Wall

Topics covered: Internet Protocol (IP) addressing (including versions 4 and 6), address resolution, routing metrics, distance vector protocols, and (especially) routing algorithms. Covered interior routing protocols include Routing Information Protocol (RIP, versions 1 and 2) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), while covered exterior routing protocols include Exterior Gateways Protocol (EGP) and Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR). Futures, especially multicasting, receive attention as well.

From the Inside Flap
1 Introduction to Routing in the Internet

I first heard of the Internet in 1982. At that time, it was still centered around the Arpanet. Its access was reserved to a few research centers around the world. Our own research center, INRIA in France, could perhaps have joined its transatlantic extension, Satnet, but we never quite managed to convince the funding agencies of the usefulness of such a project. In fact, we were quite happy to acquire an indirect connection through the UNIX-based Usenet network a few years later. We had to wait until 1988 for a direct connection with the NSFnet, the interconnection network funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation. 1.1 The Worldwide Internet

The situation has changed a lot since that time. There were only a few hundred machines connected to the Internet by 1982: it was pretty much the playground for an elite group of computer scientists. That number had grown to 2.5 million connected computers on January 1, 1994, when the first edition of this book was being prepared. By the time of the second edition, in July 1999, there are about 60 million computer addresses registered in the domain name service. An estimated 20 million users had access to it, then. Nobody really knows how many users have access to the Internet now; estimates vary between 100 and 200 million. The initial core of experts has been joined by a variety of teachers and students, researchers and merchants, journalists and engineers. More than half of the connected computers in the United States already belonged to commercial companies in 1994, while academia only represents one-sixth of the network in 1999. The initial Internet was mostly a U.S.-only network, with a few appendices in a couple of friendly countries. By 1994, one could estimate that over half of the net was located in the United States, about one-third in Europe, with a growing presence in Asia and other continents. This figure has not changed much in 1999, as the North American networks have kept growing just as fast as the international networks. This rapid increase of the commercial and international participation is characteristic of the recent evolution and probably explains the amazing growth of the recent years: the net seems to double its size every year! 1.2 How Is It Organized?

The Internet is not "one network" in the common sense of the term: there is no such thing as one huge international company that would provide connections to users in various continents. Instead, the Internet is "a loose interconnection of networks," belonging to many owners. One usually distinguishes three levels of networks: organizational, regional, and transit.

The companies and institutions attached to the Internet generally manage an internal network. Its complexity can vary widely with the size of the organization. A typical example may be the research unit of INRIA in Sophia-Antipolis, where I used to work. The local network consisted of six Ethernet segments connecting about 300 workstations scattered in six buildings. The segments were connected to each other by a fiber-optic FDDI backbone that was directly attached to our supercomputers and service machines. Connection between the ring and the segments was assured by several specialized routers, using the Internet protocols. Indeed, this network was more complex than those of several small companies which often consist of one single Ethernet or token ring network. But large universities often have thousands of machines to connect, and multinational companies may have to manage a worldwide mesh of links between their different sites.

Most organizations' networks are connected to the Internet through a "regional" provider which manages a set of links covering a state, a region, or maybe a small country. These regional networks provide connectivity to their customers; they also render a number of related services, such as helping users to manage their networks or to get Internet addresses and providing mailboxes for isolated users. The regional nature of these providers is generally derived from these service relations: proximity helps. There is, however, no regional monopoly. Several companies may well compete in the same city or in the same region. There is also no restriction on the scope of the provider. Some companies that started in a limited geographic area are currently expanding their operations to other regions, maybe other countries. In fact, we are currently observing the burgeoning activity of a new industry. While the market grows, many new operators start their own activities. Some will succeed and become the giants of tomorrow. Some will remain small and concentrate on a particular corner of the market. Many others will probably be absorbed.

Being connected to other Internet users in the same city, even in the same state, is not quite sufficient. The purpose of the Internet is more ambitious: worldwide connectedness. This connectivity may be provided by a "transit" provider. The first network that clearly positioned itself as primarily a transit provider was the NSFnet. This successor of the Arpanet had a deliberate policy of allowing connection only through intermediate, regional providers. Another well-known transit system is the EBONE in Europe, which is operated in cooperation by several European regional networks. Such an interconnection is not adequate when the regional networks have grown so large that they already encompass many regions or many countries. In that case, bilateral or multilateral arrangements are preferred. The NSFnet has now been decommissioned, and the transit services are provided by a small number of very large international networks run by commercial organizations. 1.3 A Study of Routing

Many books have already been written on the Internet; yet another one would not be the most useful addition to the shelves of our libraries. This book, however, seeks to address one very specific topic: the organization of routing—the structure that glues together the worldwide Internet. It is divided into five parts. The first part includes three chapters: the general principles of the Internet architecture, the presentation of the Internet Protocol (IP) itself, and the presentation of IPv6, which has been designed as a replacement for IP. Each of the following chapters will present both the state of the art, based on the current version of IP (IPv4), and the provisions that are made for IPv6.

Three chapters cover the routing within organizations' networks. chapter 5 is devoted to RIP, the old Internet routing protocol. It is also an introduction to routing protocols in general, detailing the easy-to-understand "distance vector" technology. Then in chapter 6 we present the more modern Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol, an example of the "link state" technology. chapter 7 completes this second part by discussing the other routing protocols in use in the Internet.

The interconnection between organizations' networks and providers requires another set of protocols, more concerned with the "management of connectivity" than with the dynamics of routing. Part 3 includes four chapters presenting the first "Exterior Gateway Protocol" (EGP), then the modern "Border Gateway Protocol" (BGP). chapter 10 is devoted to the recent development of "Inter-Domain Routing," while chapter 11 presents the general requirements of "policy-based routing."

The fourth part of the book is devoted to the recent advances in routing technology, with three chapters detailing the support of multicast transmission, mobile hosts, and real-time applications. This is a natural introduction to the last part of the book, which presents the transition to the new Internet Protocol. This transition will be necessary if we want to connect thousands of billions of hosts to the twenty-first century's Internet!

Disappointing work from a master in the field...
By Thomas Ptacek
I bought this book with high hopes. Huitema's first edition was exceptional, covering in detail protocols in use on the Internet at the time. What it lacked in theory, it made up for in practical applicability. When combined with Radia Perlman's _Interconnections (1st Edition)_ and access to the IETF RFC database, readers had access to all the information they could ever need about Internet routing.
Then Perlman's 2nd edition was released. What _Interconnections_ had lacked before in practical details is more than addressed in that amazing book. One might hope that Huitema's 2nd edition would catch up to Perlman's in theoretical detail, making both books equivalent references for the field of Internet routing.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. Huitema's second book reads much like the first. The "2nd Edition" enhancements seem to center on coverage of "new technologies" such as label switching and quality of service. None of the background that _Routing on the Internet_ lacked in the first edition is made up for here, and I found some of the coverage of new technologies to be superficial or poorly presented.
Moreover, the presentation of the material is simply bad. The book is poorly edited, with grammatical errors throughout the text and fairly unclear writing. Worse, the diagramming style is extremely inconsistant. Throughout much of the book, the diagrams used appear to simply be typeset ASCII pictures!
There are also points in the book where it appears that dated, inappropriate text from the first book was literally pasted into the second book. For instance, at one point the author asserts that "not many companies are making money off of Internet routing devices" (paraphrase), and "a company called cisco" (which he continues to lowercase) is a vendor of the most popular routers. Since he laters makes mention of Ipsilon, I'm guessing he hasn't just been asleep as Internet routing companies rampaged across the NASDAQ.
Huitema is at his best when giving his opinions about aspects of Internet technologies. His recommendations are usually spot-on, and the historical background he provides about protocol development rivals the similar, excellent content in Perlman's _Interconnections_.
However, with _Interconnections 2_ on the shelves, I can't see a good reason to shell out ... for this book. Huitema covers some technologies that Perlman doesn't, but Perlman covers essential technologies (such as switching and multicast forwarding) far better than _Routing on the Internet_.

Another look to Internet
By Ruslan Moskalenko
There is a general rule of 80/20. It means 80% of networking books cover 20% of the available networking technologies because they are most common. The average book about internet routing includes 10% of RIP and IGRP, 25% of OSPF, 20% of EIGRP, 20% of BGP and just few words about multicasting, IPv6, resourse reservation, Internet architecture, mobile hosts etc. Another common feature of such books that they give you static shot of current state.
Usually it's more then enough for day to day operations and many people are completely satisfied. But some people want to learn a bit about other 20% and see piture in motion. This book is exactly for them. Probably it doesn't help you much in Cisco router configuration, but you can learn internet history and future from the routing point of view. You can learn a way how routing protocols are developing, what are the current problems and what to expect in a recent future.
This book was included in the CCIE library set and many people were really disappointed because it isn't focused on Cisco routing and switching. In opposite, the most part of this book covers everything that is usually not included in Cisco books. From CCIE or Cisco prospective this book is not really interesting, but it has another goal.
A few more words about this book. It was written by French guy, and he is not Cisco employee. His style is completly different from e.g. Cisco press books'. Cisco wants to show you how well and smoothly it has solved problems, and this book wants to show you what are the problems and drawbacks of current solutions. Cisco gives you answers and this book sometimes just states questions without answers. It's more academic review then manual. Keep it in mind if you are going to buy it.
The final words. Sometimes the language is dull and too dry but if you want to know current state of the internet evolution this book gives you information which is hard to find in any other single book. This book is very good but it's goal is different. It's like the most part of passengers have questions about tickets and they ask ticket agency. But some of them might want to learn more about airplane itself. They can find very good book about airplanes. It's also interesting book but it's definitly different and optional reading for the traveler. The same about this one. It's optional and not the highest priority book but it really gives you a lot of new information about internet routing.

A Remarkable Book of Ancient Poetry
By Royal
I devoured this book on a long-distance plane trip recently, and was amazed at the relevance of this collection of ancient, Chinese poems to modern life. Covering the time mostly between 900 B.C. and 1200 A.D., the themes these ancient poets deal with are the same most of us contemplate driving to work in the morning (if we turn off the radio), or lie with as we drift to sleep at night.
I found the poetry a little slow at first, but it gets more and more interesting the further one reads. I recommend it for the middle aged or older reader, or for anyone else who has time and inclination to seek the examined life. Food, romance, long-distance marriages and friendships, gender discrimination, the joys and frustrations of military service, the joys and frustrations of bureaucracy, fidelity, infidelity, births, and deaths, humor, sorrow -- it's all there, and speaks to us through the millenia.
A great collection at a bargain price!

A lot of humanity in these poems
By Larry H. Burdoin
The thing that impressed me most about these poems (that range in time from before the Han Dynasty up to China in the Middle Ages) is the humanity of the writers that is expressed so simply, sucinctly and eloquently. There are several poems by women which add a greater range of perspective to this collection.

Valuable insights about that which is grave and constant in the human experience. Emotions of lost love, unrequitted love and mourning are dealt with among other emotions.

Bad Idea: Some mistakes are worth making.

Reclusive comic book artist Trip Spector spends his life doodling supersquare, straitlaced superheroes, hiding from his fans, and crushing on his unattainable boss until he meets the dork of his dreams. Silas Goolsby is a rowdy FX makeup creator with a loveless love life and a secret streak of geek who yearns for unlikely rescues and a truly creative partnership.

Against their better judgment, they fall victim to chemistry, and what starts as infatuation quickly grows tender and terrifying. With Silas’s help, Trip gambles his heart and his art on a rotten plan: sketching out Scratch, a “very graphic novel” that will either make his name or wreck his career. But even a smash can’t save their world if Trip retreats into his mild-mannered rut, leaving Silas to grapple with betrayal and emotions he can’t escape.

What will it take for this dynamic duo to discover that heroes never play it safe?

A True Romantic Read
By Jennifer L. Bailey
I read a book. A very, very, very good book.
Big surprise. I've read a lot of books. I don't, however, review all the books I read.
A couple of years ago, I read another very, very, very good book. Hot Head by Damon Suede was all kinds of awesome. It stood to reason that his newest release, Bad Idea, would be just as great. And it was.

Bad Idea lacked the overwhelming intensity of Hot Head--which redefined love, loyalty and sacrifice while playing with many of the tropes of gay romance (friends to lovers, gay for you, gay for pay, etc.)--but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside from the sheer romance of it. It was sweet, but with enough edge and snark to keep it from rotting a reader's teeth.

If you've ever heard Damon speak at an event somewhere, you'll notice that Bad Idea sounds just like him. Fun word choices, wise--sometimes startling--declarations, outrageous imagery. He, and Bad Idea, is oh-so quotable. And his knowledge of the art world--from television and movies to comics and videogames--was used expertly, flowing naturally and enmeshing the reader deep into the story and the setting.
What I loved about this story is that, in many ways, it outlined a very normal relationship. No one needed to save the world. Most of the tropes of romance were absent (no secret baby, no Cinderella story, no gay for you, etc.). The characters met, they dated, they fought and had to get used to each others' quirks and tics. All the things couples do. There are insecurities, jealousies, regret, care. They get nervous meeting the other's friends. They get awkward and make bad decisions.

Now, since this is a romance, there were some great fantasy-filling elements. Silas is a living, breathing He-Man with a sexy southern accent and a need to take care of someone. Can I say yummy? The love scenes are hot. I mean, bring on the ice-water to cool you off kind of hot.

If Hot Head tore out my heart through my nostrils, Bad Idea put it back and soothed it.

Quirky, hot and fun read!
By Nikyta
This review can be found at The Blog of Sid Love.

Trip Spector is a talented comic book artist who hates the comics he draws but can’t seem to change his life because of his sexy and sleazy (but straight) boss. When he meets Silas everything changes and his world turns upside down. Now, it’s full of possibilities and new inspiration. When the two get together, it’s more than just a one time thing, it’s the start of something real, intense, and beautiful but with every good thing, there’s always that fear and, more than anything, Trip is scared his new-found happiness will crumble. The chemistry between Silas and Trip is fierce but will Trip let his fear ruin that?

When we first meet Trip, he’s this big ball of allergies, dreading having to participate in a Zombie Run (where he ends up meeting the super hot Silas). He’s cute and slightly nerdy and I really liked him because of that. He’s confused and mislead by his Unboyfriend (i.e. his c***-tease of a boss). I loved him but I also wanted to shake some sense into him! He’s sooo stubborn! But, at the same time, he’s insecure and wonders how someone like Silas could like him. I felt bad for him because he’s so wound up and doesn’t know how to handle things. Silas, on the other hand, was my favorite character. He’s out and proud, charming, sweet but a closeted geek. He grew up chubby so he always feels like he’s unattractive even though he’s doesn’t have any issues getting a guy. It’s heartbreaking the low self-esteem he has but I found myself smiling ridiculously whenever he’d do something ‘gentlemanly’ that Trip always ended up ruining somehow. It was funny but also kinda cute. Silas was sexy as heck but the two of them together?! Jesus, I don’t like reading much smut but even *I* found these two smoking hot! The two have a great connection and fit each other perfectly, IMO, and I couldn’t get enough of them.

The story revolves around Trip and Silas chartering new waters. Neither of them have much experience in relationships. Silas has a ton of exes while Trip has just been pining after his ‘straight’ boss for the last four years. They start off pretty intense because of the chemistry between them is intense BUT that isn’t the only thing. The story tells how Scratch, an erotic graphic novel that Trip creates based off Silas, comes to be, how much pleasure Trip gets from creating something that’s HIS but also the trouble it causes him to do that. Silas, through everything, is his rock and I really, really loved seeing the conflict Trip always had and how Silas could calm him down. When things start to get rocky, my heart almost broke for these guys.

While I loved this story, there was one big issue I had with it. Mainly, I felt like the writing was choppy and confusing sometimes to the point where I had to go back and reread certain passages to clarify how or why the characters got on different subjects. Mostly, this happened between the shift into the philosophical discussions (that I actually quite enjoyed) but I can’t deny the transition between what was originally talked about and that pulled me out of the story multiple times.

One of the many great things about this book, though, were the secondary characters, specifically, Max, Jillian, Kurt and Ziggy. Jillian and her son, Max, were just great additions to the story. Always filled with something funny or smart to say, I loved Trip’s interactions with them. More than anything, though, I found Ziggy to be a fascinating character and how Kurt is drawn to him was even better. I really hope that we’ll be able to see Ziggy and Kurt get their own story one day because it really would be something amazing to see.

In the end, I adored this story. I found the telling of how Scratch was created fascinating and really cool to experience but I also loved the characters. The journey Silas and Trip go down while they figure out how to have a relationship was sweet, hot and put a smile on my face. I can’t wait to read more in this series and since I haven’t read Horn Gate yet, it makes me want to start it ASAP.

I hate summarizing. On account of my aforementioned reading coma I give myself a pass. The blurb, in all its blurbiness, tells you everything you need to know about the plot. I just want to talk about all the things I loved.

Wait. First, I feel the need to get this out of the way. I'll begrudgingly admit that this book may not be for everyone. Geek culture prances around the pages unrestrained. Some will get frustrated at not understanding all the references. Others may have a disconnect with the type of humor used. Just know that some and others are missing out on fantastic writing. I didn't get all the references and I still thought that this was perfect for me. I had multiple nerdgasms, and I maybe almost peed from laughing. I refused to put the book down. I read until my eyes hurt, and then I kept reading. I was in a state of bliss (despite the eye thing).

Oh, Bad Idea how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

Warning overuse of the word "love," and mild squeeing to follow.

1. I love the writing. I think it's apparent that Damon Suede's writing has improved since Hot Head. It was already great in my opinion. But I do love to witness a writer hone their craft. While not everyone loves Suede's writing nuggets, I eat them up. They feel like coming home to me. Which, really is completely insane since this is only the second book of his I've read. But I loved seeing his familiar habits. They are like his calling cards, the sound bites, and repetition. I liked it before. I love it now, as I think they were used more effectively here.

It's all in the details; Suede paints with the little things many would leave out (like spit strands). But it was those details that made the story feel real to me, kept me hooked. I thought there was a distinct lack of flowery word-shenanigans, which I appreciate. Suede uses raw language, and some slang. Although, occasionally the latter didn't work for me, as I remember being extremely confused over the word "basket" at one point. Still, there are some great one-liners. Really, I just loved all the words. Well, with the exception of "basket" anyway.

Lovely sentences. They were occasionally ridiculous, mostly hilarious, and always perfect. I love the things you say Mr. Suede.

2. I love Trip. Love. Him. He is funny, infuriating, and nerdy. All bundled into one attractive comic book artist. I love his POV to smithereens. It elicited many giggles. I relate to him the most, probably because he is this anxious, and mildly damaged bundle of nervous energy. His word vomits are the best.

3. Silas, Silas, Silas. The nerd-whisperer. You guessed it, I love Silas. He is sweet, caring, and just loveable. He also dabbles in the nerdy, is a total beefcake, and has so many exes they fall from the sky. His muscles are the result of (*gasp*) hard work, and carbo-dodging. It's refreshing that he isn't magically ripped, and blessed with a super metabolism. He's just big and bulky, with some muscles thrown in. Delicious. Or... life-size Teddy Bear? You decide.

4. I love their relationship. They actually dated! Holy crap. I was starting to forget that dating is a thing people do. I feel like 93% of the Romances I've read recently have MC's who are thrown together into dire situations (like road trips), or they hate each other until one throws the other into bed (naturally). Anyway, I like their little courtship. It's great, but somehow manages not be all fluffy-sugar adorable. Trip and Silas are just perfect together. They are both nervous, unsure, and have these enjoyable little instances of miscommunication. It all makes for great moments of dialogue. It all feels real. Ah, the mating rituals of nerds. They made me laugh, and all right they are occasionally cute.

5. I love all the sexy. Are you surprised? This book right here. This book is...Whoo Lordy (*Fans self*). Trip and Silas are hot together. Explosive. BOOM go my ovaries. The dynamic between the two is just electric. They had some unexpected moments that blew my mind. Honestly though, this is Mr. Suede we are talking about. I was expecting an intense connection, steamy goodness, and all the melty tingles. I have to say, he outdid himself.

The sex scenes are great. Firstly, as I think I've sufficiently established, they are hot. More importantly, they have substance. It's always the two of them working together. Trip and Silas interact and react to each other. It isn't always flawless, but that's what makes it so great. It's authentic. Sometimes the scenes (of which there are the perfect amount) would get a little lengthy. It's not something that bothered me, at all. It always went somewhere, and I felt like I learned about the characters and watched them grow through these scenes. Still, some may be irritated by all the overheating. I would suggest a cool compress.

6. Secondary Characters? Love `em! Particularly Trip's female friends. They are well developed, amusing, and I really enjoyed Trip's time with them. Normally I'd be waiting for scenes with the secondaries to end, but I genuinely enjoyed their presence in the book. They were weird, and fun. It never felt like they were derailing the pacing, or distracting from Trip and Silas. I'm not sure if I liked Kurt or not. He had some great dialogue at the end, and I can't wait for his book. However, that last bit is mostly because of Ziggy. I NEED to get all up in that one's POV.

All in all, I really enjoyed reading this. It made me happy. I laughed at all the jokes, even the ridiculous ones. I LOVED Silas and Trip. I was invested in them, to the point of frustrated tears towards the end. And I highlighted an appalling amount of sentences. I do think that this is going to be a case of the writing not being for everyone. But I do suggest everyone give it a go, and if you happen to be a comic book nerd, even better. Bad Idea is definitely my cuppa!

"REFRESHING, ENJOYABLE AND INSPIRING!"
By Author/Reviewer Geri Ahearn
When my children were young, I searched for books that contained Bible stories that they can understand. As a religion teacher for children in grades one through four, I continued my search for the same reasons. I wish at that time that I was able to find one interesting for young readers. "THE WONDER BOOK OF BIBLE STORIES" is the book I searched for. I read some of the stories to special needs children, and it attracted their attention. They were interested, curious, and many of the stories were open for discussion. The children found wonderful messages pertaining to the different stories. I highly recommend this delightful book to parents with young children, and religion teachers. Each story is easy to read, and understand. The author penned beautiful, inspiring stories that encourage young children to read, and share their point of views.

Not Biblicaly accurate
By wasblind
Read the first book about Adam and Eve they did not build a rock tower for their forgiveness of sins. Did not read any more. Where is creation? Should be before Adam and Eve. Creation in itself shows the magnitude of GOD. I realized it is geared to young readers but don't distort GOD's word.
